Happy Mother's Day

I'll post a picture later but I can't sleep so I figured a quick blog
would be a good way to spend my time.

First, I'm sorry for the lack of posts. The last 4 weeks I have been
working on 2-20 page papers and all my regular assignments, so time
has been hard to come by.

I know I say this all the time, but Hadley is growing so much. She's
now really talking and can say quite a few words that people other
than Neil and I can understand. Her favorites right now are uh-oh, HI,
and Daddy. She's also really progressing in her signs. For the longest
time she would only sign 'all done' but in the last week she's started
doing 'milk,' 'eat,' and 'more' consistently.

In other news, I have accepted a position at UTA to teach 2 English
1301 classes in the Fall. Which means that Hadley will be going into
daycare. Although we are really nervous about having her cared for by
someone else, I think she is finally at an age where she doesn't need
my constant care and attention. Interaction with other children is
something Hadley craves so I'm confident it will be an easy transition
(for her, not for me-I'll probably be crying like a big baby the first
week we aren't together all day).

Mothers Day was nice, I spent most the day writing so it was pretty
much uneventful. Neil and Hadley bought me a very fancy bag to take to
work this fall, I really like it, Hadley has good taste. ;)

The next few weeks should be pretty laid back so I will try to post
more often.
