Dancing Queen
There is one thing Hadley really likes to do: dance. She is always dancing. She got a CD player and a disco ball for her birthday. I never thought that we'd already be telling our daughter to turn her boy band music (Justin Beiber)! So dance classes seemed like something she would really enjoy. Our last activity (soccer) ended up being kind of a waste of time, but I think this is really more suited to what *she* wants to do instead of what *we* want her to do. The class we enrolled her in is a combination of ballet, tap, and tumbling. They have a recital in May, but since we are joining late we will have to miss that (which is okay by me because it means we don't have to pay $75 for a dress she wears once and $75 to watch her dance for a few minutes). If this turns out to be something she is truly interested in we will do the recitals. Unfortunately, parents typically are not in the same room because it's too distracting to the kids. We can only peek in through the glass for little snippets at a time when she's not looking. The class went really well, and she immediately asked if she could come back next week. She loves the tap tap tap of her tap shoes, but her favorite part is twirling around in her tutu. Here's our little dancing queen:
