Happy Anniversary!

1 year ago, Neil and I were married in Puerto Morelos, Mexico at Azul Beach Hotel. This is going to get cheesy so stop reading now if you must.

This has been one of the best years of my life. Neil and I have had such a whirlwind romance and I absolutely love that the initial excitement and rush of a new relationship is still a continuous feeling in our marriage. I've often heard that the 1st year of marriage is the most difficult, but thankfully, this did not hold true for us. If anything, marriage has only brought us closer together. We grow and learn from each other almost every day. Sure, we have those long days where we are so tired we simply smile at each other and talk very little. We go about our evening, taking care of Hadley, making dinner, and watching TV together in bed. A goodnight kiss and life goes on. Simple, but happy. But, there are still moments where he makes me giggle uncontrollably, moments when he knows exactly what to say to flip me right out of my nasty mood, moments when I see him and my stomach tightens and my nerves fluster as if it were our first date! It's an amazing feeling to look at your husband and know that he is the only person on the planet who could make you this happy. All I have to do is look at our daughter to be reminded of just how lucky I am.
