A day with Julie!

Today was a big day in Hadley's life...she had her first day in daycare. I think it was a bigger day in my life because she didn't really seem to notice a difference.

With all of the work I have in graduate school I need a little extra help. So, Hadley will be with Julie on Mondays and Thursdays for 5 hours. We've heard great things about Julie, her husband works with Neil, so I don't feel like I'm leaving with a stranger.

Julie said that Hadley did great on her first day. She played and napped just like any other day. She really enjoyed the attention she got from Kaylie (she's 3 or 4), who has a little sister around Hadley's age so she is very comfortable around babies. The only snag was when Julie gave Jordan a bottle (who is 4 months) and not Hadley (Hadley already had hers an hour before). Apparently, this was truly upsetting to her and she had a meltdown. Awwwww :) This is the first time she's been around a younger baby, I guess she's got some issues to work through, ha.

Anyhoo, sorry there are no pictures, we had enough to deal with today. She is going again on Thursday but then Julie goes on vacation for 2 weeks, and then we're off to England. So Hadley will really not be starting until the very end of October.

P.S. Did I mention she can pull herself up on things? She's a pro now and loves to pull herself up next to us on the couch - she gets very excited and proud of herself!
